Korsteel Rubber Jointed Cheltenham Gag Bit

The Korsteel Rubber Jointed Cheltenham Gag is designed to provide additional control for horses that can become strong, lean on the bit or fall onto the forehand.

The rubber-covered jointed mouthpiece provides a warmer, softer feel than plain stainless steel and spreads pressure over a larger surface area of the tongue, bars and corners of the mouth. The Cheltenham gag cheek design allows separate gag cheeks to pass through the holes in the bit rings. When the gag rein is used, the bit is lifted in the horse’s mouth while also applying poll pressure, encouraging the horse to raise the head and rebalance.
