Shires Cheltenham Gag

The Shires Cheltenham Gag is designed for horses that can become strong, lean on the bit or take hold, providing the rider with additional control when required.

Made from durable stainless steel, it features a single-jointed 14mm mouthpiece and is designed to be used with gag cheeks (available separately). The gag action allows the bit to lift slightly in the horse’s mouth, helping to encourage the horse to come up off the forehand.

Two sets of reins are recommended, allowing the rider to use the gag action only when needed.
